The VZ-RAM is Arai's benchmark open-face helmet. Handmade in Japan with the same rigor as their racing models, it integrates track-proven technology into an open-face format designed for the road and the city.

Each shell is assembled manually in Japan, layer by layer. More rigid and lighter than a standard shell, it is impossible to replicate in mass production.
Rounded profile for better protection
A smooth exterior surface without protrusions. In the event of a fall, the helmet slides and dissipates impact energy instead of catching and transferring it to your neck.
Wide-angle long visor
Longer than a standard open-face visor for better protection of the lower face. It can be swapped in seconds without tools, available in clear or tinted versions depending on the weather.

How do I choose my size?+

Measure the circumference of your head 2 cm above your eyebrows. The VZ-RAM is shaped as an intermediate oval, which fits the majority of European head types. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size and allow a few weeks for the foam to adapt to your shape.

What is the lifespan of an Arai helmet?+

Arai recommends replacing your helmet after 5 years of use, even without visible damage. In the event of a fall, even a minor one, replace it immediately.

Are visors interchangeable between the VZ and SZ ranges?+

The VZ-RAM visor is compatible with helmets sharing the VAS-Z system. Compatible models are the Arai SZ-R VAS and the Arai SZ-R EVO (ECE 22.06 standard). Older generations like the SZ-Ram 4 are not compatible.

Can this helmet be worn with glasses?+

Yes, the interior of the VZ-RAM has been designed to accommodate glasses temples without pressure or discomfort.
