The VZ-RAM Nishikigoi White pays tribute to the koi carp, the Japanese symbol of luck and perseverance, with patterns painted on an immaculate white background.

Red, black, and gold on a white background: nishikigoi carp glide over the shell with the precision of a traditional Japanese illustration. A rare graphic edition on the VZ-RAM, combining Arai craftsmanship with an aesthetic drawn directly from Japanese visual culture.

Key features
Hand-crafted shell
Each shell is assembled by hand in Japan, layer by layer. Stiffer and lighter than a standard shell, it is impossible to replicate with mass production.
Rounded profile for better protection
Smooth exterior surface with no rough edges. In the event of a fall, the helmet slides and dissipates the impact instead of catching and transferring it to your neck.
Long, wide-angle visor
Longer than a standard open-face visor to better protect the lower part of the face. It can be swapped in seconds without tools, clear or tinted depending on the weather.
Effective ventilation at any speed
5 air intakes and 6 exhausts ensure active circulation even at low city speeds. Less heat, less fog.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose my size?+

Measure the circumference of your head 2 cm above your eyebrows. The VZ-RAM is shaped intermediate oval, which suits the majority of European head shapes. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size and allow a few weeks for the foam to adapt to your shape.

What is the lifespan of an Arai helmet?+

Arai recommends replacing your helmet after 5 years of use, even without visible damage. The interior foam and shell materials degrade over time due to sweat and UV rays. In the event of a fall, even a minor one, replace it immediately.

Are the visors interchangeable between the VZ and SZ ranges?+

The VZ-RAM visor is only compatible with helmets that share the same mounting system, called VAS-Z (lowered pivot axis for a smoother shell around the temples). Compatible models are the Arai SZ-R VAS and the Arai SZ-R EVO (ECE 22.06 standard). Conversely, older generations like the SZ-Ram 4 use a different mechanism with rigid side covers and are not compatible.

Can this helmet be used with glasses?+

Yes, the interior of the VZ-RAM is designed to accommodate eyeglass frames without pressure or discomfort. Spaces are provided for this purpose in the interior foam.
