The Nano Shuriken Silver plays with pure geometry. Nano-sized shuriken patterns cover the surface like metallic fabric—repetitive, hypnotic, and striking under the light.

The VZ-RAM is Arai's benchmark open-face helmet. Hand-crafted in Japan with the same rigor as their racing models, it integrates track-proven technology into an open format designed for road and city use.

Highlights
Hand-crafted shell
Each shell is assembled manually in Japan, layer by layer. Stiffer and lighter than a standard shell, it is impossible to replicate in mass production.
Rounded profile for better protection
Smooth outer surface without protrusions. In the event of a fall, the helmet slides and dissipates impact instead of catching and transferring it to your neck.
Wide-angle long visor
Longer than a standard open-face visor to better protect the lower face. It can be swapped in seconds without tools, with clear or tinted options depending on the weather.
Efficient ventilation at all speeds
5 intake and 6 exhaust vents ensure active airflow even at low city speeds. Less heat, less fogging.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose my size?+

Measure your head circumference 2 cm above the eyebrows. The VZ-RAM has an intermediate oval fit, which suits the majority of European head shapes. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size and allow a few weeks for the foam to adapt to your head shape.

What is the lifespan of an Arai helmet?+

Arai recommends replacing your helmet after 5 years of use, even without visible impact. If involved in a fall, even a minor one, replace it immediately.

Are visors interchangeable between VZ and SZ ranges?+

The VZ-RAM visor is compatible with helmets sharing the VAS-Z system. Compatible models are the Arai SZ-R VAS and the Arai SZ-R EVO (ECE 22.06 standard). Older generations like the SZ-Ram 4 are not compatible.

Can this helmet be used with glasses?+

Yes, the interior of the VZ-RAM is designed to accommodate glasses temples without pressure or discomfort.
