How do I choose my size?+

Measure the circumference of your head 2 cm above the eyebrows. The VZ-RAM features an intermediate oval fit, which suits most European head shapes. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size and allow a few weeks for the foam to adapt to your shape.

What is the lifespan of an Arai helmet?+

Arai recommends replacing your helmet after 5 years of use, even without visible damage. The interior foam and shell materials degrade over time due to sweat, hair oils, and UV rays. In the event of a fall, even a minor one, replace it immediately.

Are visors interchangeable between VZ and SZ ranges?+

The VZ-RAM visor is only compatible with helmets sharing the same mounting system, known as VAS-Z (lowered pivot axis for a smoother shell around the temples). Compatible models are the Arai SZ-R VAS and the Arai SZ-R EVO (ECE 22.06 standard). Conversely, older generations like the SZ-Ram 4 use a different mechanism with rigid side pods and are not compatible.

Can this helmet be worn with glasses?+

Yes, the interior of the VZ-RAM has been designed to accommodate eyeglass stems without pressure or discomfort. Spaces are provided for this purpose in the interior foam.
