The ECE 22.06 standard, which came into effect in 2022, is significantly stricter than the old 22.05. It incorporates, for the first time, oblique and rotational impact tests that simulate real-world road accidents. Only the most rigorous helmets pass this without compromising on weight.
Peel-Away pads are 5mm layers placed at the temples and cheeks. They can be peeled off if the helmet is too tight in a specific area, allowing you to adjust the fit millimeter by millimeter without changing helmet size.
The SZ-R EVO visor uses the VAS-Z mounting system. It is compatible with the Arai VZ-RAM and the Arai SZ-R VAS. Older models such as the SZ-Ram 4 use a different mechanism and are not compatible.
