The RX-7X is a pure racing full-face helmet, whereas the VZ-RAM and SZ-R EVO are open-face helmets. Its chin bar provides full frontal protection, which is absent on an open-face model. Its ventilation is optimized for a tucked-in racing position, its low profile integrates with a racing suit's back hump, and its FCS is calibrated to remain stable during hard braking. An open-face helmet remains better suited for urban use; the RX-7X is designed for the track and high-speed riding.

Yes. The cheek pads include pre-cut slots for speakers. We recommend using thin speakers (standard Cardo or Sena): the tight fit of the FCS leaves little extra room. For the microphone, choose a wired mic stuck to the inside of the chin bar; a boom mic will be too bulky. The Bluetooth module should preferably be fixed using double-sided adhesive on the left side of the shell.

Arai recommends replacing your helmet after 5 years, even without visible damage. The PB-SNC2 shell and internal foam degrade gradually over time due to sweat and UV exposure. After any impact, even a minor one, replace the helmet immediately.

No. The RX-7X uses the VAS-V system, which is specific to this model. Its visors are not interchangeable with other Arai ranges (VZ-RAM, SZ-R EVO, RX-7V) that use the VAS-Z or VAS systems. Check for the VAS-V reference when purchasing any replacement visor.
