The RX-7X is a pure racing full-face helmet, whereas the VZ-RAM and SZ-R EVO are open-face jet helmets. Its chin bar offers full frontal protection, which is absent on a jet helmet. Its ventilation is optimized for a tucked riding position, its low profile integrates with racing suits featuring a back hump, and its FCS is calibrated to remain stable during heavy braking. An open-face helmet remains better suited for city use; the RX-7X is designed for the track and high-speed riding.

Yes. The cheek pads include pre-cut slots for speakers. We recommend using thin speakers (standard Cardo or Sena models): the tight fit of the FCS system leaves little room. For the microphone, opt for a wired microphone adhered to the inside of the chin bar; boom microphones are too bulky. The Bluetooth module should preferably be attached using double-sided adhesive on the left side of the shell.

Arai recommends replacing your helmet after 5 years, even without visible damage. The PB-SNC2 shell and foam pads degrade over time due to perspiration and UV rays. After any impact, even a minor one, replace the helmet immediately.

No. The RX-7X uses the VAS-V system, which is specific to this model. Its visors are not interchangeable with other Arai ranges (VZ-RAM, SZ-R EVO, RX-7V) that use the VAS-Z or VAS systems. Please check for the VAS-V reference when purchasing any replacement visor.
