The RX-7X is a pure racing full-face helmet, whereas the VZ-RAM and SZ-R EVO are open-face helmets. Its chin bar offers full frontal protection that is missing on an open-face model. Its ventilation is optimized for a tucked-in position on the tank, its low profile integrates with racing suits featuring a back hump, and its FCS is calibrated so it does not move during heavy braking. An open-face helmet remains better suited for the city; the RX-7X is built for the track and high-speed riding.

Yes. The cheek pads have pre-cut slots for speakers. We recommend using thin speakers (standard Cardo or Sena models): the tight-fitting FCS leaves little extra room. For the microphone, choose a wired version attached to the inside of the chin bar; a boom mic is too bulky. The Bluetooth module should preferably be attached using double-sided adhesive on the left side of the shell.

Arai recommends replacing your helmet after 5 years, even without visible damage. The PB-SNC2 shell and interior foam gradually degrade due to sweat and UV rays. If the helmet sustains an impact, even a minor one, replace it immediately.

No. The RX-7X uses the VAS-V system, which is specific to this model. Its visors are not interchangeable with other Arai lines (VZ-RAM, SZ-R EVO, RX-7V), which use VAS-Z or VAS systems. Always verify the VAS-V reference when purchasing replacement visors.
