The RX-7X is a pure racing full-face helmet, whereas the VZ-RAM and SZ-R EVO are open-face jet helmets. Its chin bar offers complete frontal protection, which is absent on a jet helmet. Its ventilation is optimized for the tucked-in racing position, its low profile integrates with racing leathers with a speed hump, and its FCS is calibrated so that it does not move during hard braking. A jet helmet remains better suited for city use; the RX-7X is built for the track and high-speed riding.

Yes. The cheek pads have pre-cut pockets for speakers. We recommend using thin speakers (standard Cardo or Sena): the tight-fitting FCS leaves little room. For the microphone, opt for a wired microphone attached to the inside of the chin bar; a boom mic is too bulky. The Bluetooth module is best attached using double-sided adhesive on the left side of the shell.

Arai recommends replacement after 5 years, even without visible damage. The PB-SNC2 shell and the foam liners degrade gradually due to sweat and UV exposure. After an impact, even a minor one, replace the helmet immediately.
