The RX-7X Schwantz 30 features the personal livery of Kevin Schwantz, the 1993 500cc world champion, on the most advanced full-face helmet in the Arai range.
This edition celebrates the 30th anniversary of his title, with the checkerboard pattern, lightning bolts, and stars that served as his signature on the track.

The RX-7X is a pure racing full-face helmet, whereas the VZ-RAM and SZ-R EVO are open-face helmets. Its chin guard protects the entire face, its ventilation is designed for a tucked-in racing position, and its FCS system remains stable during braking. An open-face helmet is better suited for city riding, while the RX-7X is designed for the track.
Yes. The cheek pads have pre-cut slots for speakers. Opt for a slim model like a standard Cardo or Sena; the tight FCS fit leaves little room. For the microphone, a wired model glued into the chin guard is better than a boom mic.
Arai recommends replacing the helmet after 5 years, even without visible damage. The PB-SNC2 shell and foams degrade due to sweat and UV rays. After an impact, even a minor one, replace the helmet immediately.
No, the RX-7X uses the VAS-V system, specific to this model. Its visors are not interchangeable with the VZ-RAM, SZ-R EVO, or RX-7V, which use VAS-Z or VAS systems. Always check for the VAS-V reference before purchasing a replacement visor.
