The Hayden Laguna pays tribute to Nicky Hayden on his favorite circuit. Repsol Honda red, number 69, the colors he wore at Laguna Seca — a legendary livery for the Kentucky Kid.

The VZ-RAM is Arai's benchmark open-face helmet. Handcrafted in Japan with the same rigor as their competition models, it incorporates circuit-derived technologies into an open design thought out for road and city riding.

Handcrafted shell
Each shell is assembled manually in Japan, layer by layer. Stiffer and lighter than a standard shell, it is impossible to reproduce in mass production.
Rounded profile for better protection
Smooth outer surface with no protrusions. In the event of a fall, the helmet slides and dissipates the impact instead of snagging and transferring it to your neck.
Wide-angle long visor
Longer than a standard open-face visor to better protect the lower part of the face. It can be swapped in seconds without tools, clear or tinted depending on the weather.
Effective ventilation at any speed
5 intake and 6 exhaust vents ensure active circulation even at low city speeds. Less heat, less fogging.

How do I choose my size?+

Measure the circumference of your head 2 cm above the eyebrows. The VZ-RAM features an intermediate oval fit, which suits the majority of European head shapes. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size and give the foam a few weeks to adapt to your shape.

What is the lifespan of an Arai helmet?+

Arai recommends replacing your helmet after 5 years of use, even without visible impact. The interior foam and shell materials degrade over time due to sweat and UV exposure. In the event of a fall, even a light one, replace it immediately.

Are visors interchangeable between the VZ and SZ ranges?+

The VZ-RAM visor is only compatible with helmets sharing the VAS-Z system. Compatible models are the Arai SZ-R VAS and the Arai SZ-R EVO (ECE 22.06 standard). Older generations like the SZ-Ram 4 are not compatible.

Can this helmet be worn with glasses?+

Yes, the interior of the VZ-RAM was designed to accommodate glasses temples without pressure or discomfort. Spaces are provided for this purpose in the interior foam.
