Frequently asked questions
Can a standard Bluetooth intercom be installed on the Pista GP RR?+

Installing an intercom on the Pista GP RR is technically very difficult and highly discouraged. The EPS liner does not have any space for speakers, and the cheek pads provide a very firm fit on the face. Adding headphones would create unbearable pressure points on your ears.

Why is the visor 5 mm thick, and how does the locking mechanism work?+

The visor is 5 mm thick (optical class 1)—twice as thick as a standard helmet visor—to withstand high-speed debris. The VLS (Visor Lock System) in the center of the chin guard requires firm pressure on a push-button to unlock, preventing any accidental opening above 200 km/h.

Is the hydration system removable?+

Yes. The tube that runs along the chin guard and passes under the neck roll is fully removable. If you are not using a hydration bladder in your suit, it can easily be removed to streamline the inside of the helmet.

Why are the top vents made of metal and not plastic?+

A FIM certification requirement: in the event of a fall and sliding on the head, plastic could tear off or melt due to friction. Metal resists abrasion and protects the carbon shell from direct exposure to obstacles.
