Installing an intercom on the Pista GP RR is technically very difficult and highly discouraged. The EPS liner has no space for speakers, and the cheek pads provide a very firm fit against the face. Adding earpieces would create unbearable pressure points on your ears.
The visor is 5mm thick (optical class 1)—twice as thick as a standard helmet—to withstand high-speed debris. The Visor Lock System (VLS) at the center of the chin guard requires firm pressure on a push-button to unlock, preventing any accidental opening above 200 km/h.
Yes. The tube that runs along the chin guard and under the neck roll is completely removable. If you don't use a water bladder in your race suit, it can be easily removed to keep the helmet interior clean.
This is a FIM certification requirement: in the event of a fall and sliding on your head, plastic could tear off or melt from friction. The metal resists abrasion and protects the carbon shell from direct impact with obstacles.
