The Pista GP RR Rossi Misano 2020: the livery worn for the 2020 homecoming.

Misano 2020: two Grands Prix were held at this circuit over the span of two weeks, in a calendar compressed by the pandemic. Valentino Rossi raced on his home track, facing empty grandstands but surrounded by mechanics wearing his colors. The livery for this edition captures the unique atmosphere of that season without spectators.

Designed in a wind tunnel, the Pista GP RR generates zero lift or buffeting above 300 km/h. Its rear spoiler detaches instantly in the event of an impact to prevent cervical rotation.

Frequently asked questions
Can a standard Bluetooth intercom be installed on the Pista GP RR?+

Installing an intercom on the Pista GP RR is technically very difficult and strongly discouraged. The EPS liner does not provide space for speakers, and the cheek pads provide a very firm fit against the face. Adding headphones would create unbearable pressure points on your ears.

Why is the visor 5 mm thick, and how does the locking mechanism work?+

The visor is 5 mm thick (optical class 1), double that of a standard helmet, to resist high-speed debris. The Visor Lock System (VLS) at the center of the chin guard requires firm pressure on a push-button to unlock, preventing accidental opening above 200 km/h.

Is the hydration system removable?+

Yes. The tube that runs along the chin guard and passes under the neck roll is fully detachable. If you are not using a hydration bladder in your racing suit, it can be easily removed to keep the interior of the helmet clean.

Why are the top vents made of metal and not plastic?+

FIM certification requirement: in the event of a fall and sliding on the head, plastic could tear off or melt due to friction. Metal is abrasion-resistant and protects the carbon shell from direct impact with obstacles.
