The Project 46 series embodies the direct link between Rossi and AGV: each version refines the graphics around the "Doctor's" iconic number. The 3.0 pushes the edition to its most accomplished form, combining Rossi’s visual identity with the cutting-edge technology of the Pista GP R.

Biplano Spoiler — extreme aero
The double-profile Biplano, introduced with the Pista GP R and tested in a wind tunnel with AGV riders, stabilizes the helmet at speeds over 300 km/h by aligning with the suit's hump. It detaches instantly upon impact to protect the neck.
190° / 85° Race 3 vision
Race 3 optical class 1 visor: 190° horizontal and 85° vertical field of view. The high upper cutout eliminates the blind spot from above — in a tucked position on the tank, the track remains fully visible without straining the neck.
Metal IVS ventilation
Air scoops hollowed directly into the carbon structure, designed in metal to resist abrasion. The flow captured in dynamic conditions is expelled to the rear via the Venturi effect, preventing any overheating of the head.
Integrated hydration system as standard
A full hydration channel is integrated as standard: a flexible tube runs along the base of the helmet and ends in a silicone valve near the mouth, connecting directly to the racing suit's water bladder.

What is the difference between the Pista GP R and the Pista GP RR?+

Both share the same 100% carbon shell and top-tier AGV technologies, but the GP RR is the advanced circuit version: ECE 22.06 + FIM Racing (MotoGP/WSBK) homologation, titanium D-rings, and a more comprehensive 360° Custom Fit system. The GP R is ECE 22.05 homologated, slightly lighter (~1,350g vs ~1,450g), and offers the same aerodynamic performance at a more accessible price point.

Can I install an intercom on the Pista GP R?+

No. The Pista GP R does not feature any space for speakers (no speaker pockets). The interior fit is ultra-tight and exclusively designed for racing — adding earphones would create unbearable pressure points on the ears during a session.

How does the VLS visor locking system work?+

The VLS (Visor Lock System) automatically locks the visor in the closed position. A central push button, accessible even with thick gloves, unlocks the screen. This mechanism prevents accidental opening at high speeds.

Why does the Pista GP R have a teardrop shape?+

The Pista GP R's teardrop shape is a direct result of competitive aerodynamic requirements. The rear-elongated profile eliminates zones of low pressure that create drag and lift at high speeds. The base of the chin guard and the sides are specifically contoured to avoid any contact with the leather suit during head movements in a tucked position.
